Times Are a Changin'

Today’s the last official day of my Winter quarter, and I’ve gotta say, I learned a lot. Not just about networks and computers — my chosen subject this go around, but also about myself. You see, prior to my finals this quarter I’ve never cared about a test; The results had never mattered to me — I just didn’t concern myself with it. However, this round of finals, I found myself caring and putting time into studying for them. I’ll admit, I didn’t go around ‘acing’, in my Networking I class I received an 82% which doesn’t sound stellar, but the highest grade was a 93% and the mean score was 70%. Regardless of how the numbers worked out, I’m proud of that 82%, I worked for it and I’m owning it. I think that’s going to be the real difference for me this attempt at attending school — the ownership and desire to be good at it.
But the quarters over, and I shouldn’t dwell on it for this week of vacation. The Sun has been peaking out and I’ve finally been able to wears shorts and a T-shirt for the first time this year — it’s beautiful.
